Virtual CPR & Choking Workshop

Mamas, did you know...⠀

  • Every year, 35,000 cardiac arrests occur in Canada.
  • Choking is the 4th leading cause of unintentional death in children under the age of 5.⠀
  • Choking is responsible for almost 40% of unintentional injuries in infants under the age of one.⠀
  • The most common cause of nonfatal choking in young children is food.⠀
  • Other choking hazards are toys and household items.
  • Survival rates double if someone performs CPR and uses an automated external defibrillator (AED).

There's no time like the present to learn what to do in case there is a medical emergency in your family. This is a great way to get your entire family, including your older kids, involved in learning CPR. This can also count towards their educational hours for the week 👍

I am an RN and a certified Heart & Stroke instructor. The class is about 45-60 mins and I will cover information about CPR & choking for baby, child and adult along with how to use an AED. I will also send you a PDF of the information covered in the class.

It is $20/person and $10 of each sign up will go towards supporting Mamas for Mamas Vancouver. My goal is to raise at least $1000 between my 3 dates and help support families in need 💙

Once registered, I will send you a link to the class. All you will need is a stuffed animal to practice on.

Dates:

  • April 18 10-11am
  • May 2 10-11am
  • May 23 10-11am

Good luck, Mamas!

About Agnes Mayer

Hi, I'm Agnes Mayer, owner of MamaBear Holistic Care. I am a Mama, wife, RN and IBCLC with over 17 years of experience supporting Mamas and Babies. I started MamaBear Holistic Care because I saw a huge lack of support and resources available for expectant, new Mamas and their families. I offer prenatal classes, breastfeeding, postpartum and sleep support, along with CPR & Choking workshops; essentially all the support you will need in order to make the transition into motherhood easier. Although based in the Tri-Cities, I support Mamas all over the Lower Mainland.
